I’ve Arrived

I wrote this song of optimism in April last year. I was feeling fed up for the first few months of 2011, frustrated with my life and beginning to have some dislike towards myself, not good!
Anyway, I decided to go down a more spiritual route and set about seeking some guidance. What followed was the most amazing weekend. Suddenly I felt clear, I could see and had a new energy to drive me forward. I was free from the stagnant pool that was holding me back.

This song says it all. It’s a statement from that weekend to stop putting up with the lack in my life. To not care so much what others think of me and to do something for myself.
A year on, I can say that had it not been for the weekend in April and indeed this song, I would not have done my recent recordings, written and expressed my thoughts or had the confidence to have a website of my own. I may not have arrived for anyone else, but I arrived for me.

Lyrics:

Sick of being quiet
Sick of being down
Sick of being lonely
Lost not found
Gonna start speaking
Gonna make a sound
Gonna get noticed
Not lost but found

Old me make way, I’ve arrived
Its been a long time coming but its time
I’ve got a thousand angels behind me
This is my life, I’ve arrived.

Sick of being wasted
Sick of being tired
Sick of being nervous
Scared all the time
Gonna start growing
Gonna start to shine
Gonna start something
My rules this time

Old me make way, I’ve arrived
Its been a long time coming but its time
I’ve got a thousand angels behind me
This is my life, I’ve arrived

Sick of seeing darkness
Sick of no light
Sick of all the waiting
I’ve done my time
Gonna get moving
Gonna get strong
Gonna bring the house down
You better hold on

Old me make way, I’ve arrived
Its been a long time coming but its time
I’ve got a thousand angels behind
This is my life, I’ve arrived.
